One of the largest Labor Day festivals in the nation, this festival offers nine large craft tents filled with crafters from throughout the country, over fifty food booths, carnival, free main stage musical entertainment and unique contests like watermelon seed spitting and root beer chugging.

The first Saturday of each month throughout the season, the City Market and agricultural history will be celebrated. Additional programming will include food festivals featuring mouthwatering summer favorites, contests with KCJK 105.1 FM, kids' activities, historical reenactments, petting zoos, seminars with the Missouri Extension Office and cooking demonstrations by local chefs.

Founded in 1975, "The Edge of Hell" began as Kansas City's oldest and best Haunted House and has molded into a national model for celebrating the Halloween season. A converted five story warehouse, it offers a quarter mile walk-thru of sensory stimulation that ends abruptly 30 minutes later with a five story slide into the arms of the Devil himself.
