The Chicago Marathon is one of the largest road races in the world, with a length of over 26 miles. There is no minimum qualifying time that runners must meet in order to compete, but the race is limited to the first 40,000 people who sign up. The race is typically held in October. |

Taste of Chicago is the largest food festival in the world. Held annually in Chicago during the last week of June through July 4th, the Taste of Chicago features some of the finest food and beverage samples provided by the world's premiere restaurants.
The festivities also include live concerts and the stunning Chicago Fireworks show on the Fourth of July. |
